30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge
I am still in high gear for getting to the paints. I guess after two months of not being able to really paint, (really paint as in start on a fresh canvas) I have lots of creative adrenaline at this point. I doubt it will last right through the entire 30 efforts, but for one and two, not feeling too bad. Again, I went on location to paint this, on location in the dining room. Our home is still very very decorated, and not fallen back into the norm of neglect from busy lives who don't have time to give it much attention. Not often is the dining room table clear with a lovely bouquet of flowers on it. And, since the studio is total chaos, I grabbed the chance to paint the flowers in the dining room. If I keep up this "on location" painting mode, by Number 20 there should be lovely paintings of clutter and chaos. In a way, that could be an interesting subject to compose, life as it is.
My intention with every painting I do is usually to be loose and spontaneous with the brushwork. I start off that way, but the clamps of tightness eventually return, and I lose that loose brushwork. Having to do these in a limited amount of time forces me to leave it alone. When I have said enough, leave it alone and move on to the next one.
Onto Number 3.....
